Gay Brighton and Hove
Stonewall are joining forces with Outlet in Brighton and London to ensure that the 2004 UK Equality Walk in Brighton on 2 May is a huge success.

Outlet the UK`s leading lesbian and gay letting agency will be the new "outlet" where walkers can register to take part in the UK Equality Walk.

Simply pop into their offices on the Old Stein in Brighton or Old Compton Street in London with your registration fee of £25 and you can pick up your starter pack straight away. Not only convenient for you but also ensuring the money saved on postage is ploughed back into our partnership rights campaign.

Stephen Stone, Managing Director of Outlet Brighton said "As a major gay friendly business in Brighton we jumped at the opportunity to help Stonewall in their preparations for the walk. The walk is a significant event in Brighton as well as a significant political voice in same sex issues which we want to be a part of."

Outlet is also donating the use of their offices to Stonewall to act as the headquarters to the walk during the Bank Holiday weekend.

Josh Rafter of Outlet London and Big Brother 2 said "I am personally taking part in the walk because without Stonewall`s continued work we would never have made such in-roads in rectifying the inequalities that still exist.

“The walk will raise funds for the continued lobbying for legal change that will eventually lead to full partnership rights for same sex couples. Tremendous headway has been made but there is still a long way to go before lesbians and gay men are recognised equally in law and by society in general. And what a great day out it will be too! See you there."

Ben Summerskill, Stonewall Chief Executive said; "It is absolutely brilliant that Outlet have joined us by offering their support to this event. It is great to see the whole community is behind us in ensuring that the UK Equality Walk is a huge success."
