‘Breathe’, the new single from camp duo Erasure, is released on 3 January 2005 - hurrah! We’ve always been great fans of the boys at Gaydar Towers, so we can’t wait to get our fix of their latest tune.

'Breathe' is taken from Erasure's long awaited new album, Nightbird (out 24 January 2005), their first album of original material since 2000's hugely successful Loveboat and the follow up to the Top 20 albums, Hits! and Other People's Songs, the album of covers, both of which were released in 2003.

Andy Bell and Vince Clarke (also known for his work with Depeche Mode and Yazoo, amongst others) are one of the most successful UK duos of all time. Last year the band had their 29 consecutive UK Top 40 hit with the single ‘Oh L'Amour’ and it was utterly fabulous – just what we expected.

'Breathe' will be available on two CDs and a DVD. CD1 and the DVD features the exclusive tracks 'Gone Crazy' and 'Mr Gribber And His Amazing Cat' [sound’s a bit different – Ed.] as well as the video for 'Breathe'.

The Limited CD includes exclusive new software, Digimpro, which allows you to remix the title track on your own PC! So if you’ve ever wanted to have a go on the decks this is your chance without the humiliation of the paying public!

This brand new technology enables an unprecedented level of interaction and manipulation for fans, using additional music supplied by the band and includes the innovative improvisation feature, the possibility to customise and save your creations, and real time mixing.

In addition to the Digimpro software, the Limited CD will also include an acoustic version of 'Breathe' as well as LMC's Extended Club Mix and the When Andy Bell Met Manhattan Clique Extended Remixes of 'Breathe'.

Following the single and album releases, the band will tour the UK in February and March 2005. The dates include a show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on 5 March, where Erasure recently played as part of their sold out 2003 and where the band broke records during the Phantasmagorical tour when they played fifteen sold out shows in succession and a recently announced Belfast show which sold out in two hours .

The Swan, The Tank and The Balloon, the film of the Phantasmagorical tour has just been released on DVD for the first time. Why not buy it online and save yourself some money! While you're there, why not refresh yourself with the camp pleasure of Erasure and buy the CD of Hits! The Very Best Of Erasure.

The new single, 'Breath', is released on 3 January 2005 with the new album, Nightbird, following on 24 January 2005. Why not pre-order your copy now!
